DESIGN | INSTALL | TEST | MAINTAIN
Our experienced team has over 20 years' experience in the design, installation and inspection of lightning protection systems (LPS). Our designers are ATLAS accredited and we carry out all installations in line with the current British Standard regulations BS EN 62305:2012.
A lightning discharge can be over 200,000 amps, and can cause massive destruction to human life and property. For the commercial sector lightning surges can cause significant disruption and damage to electrical and electronic equipment. A Lightning Protection System can help prevent this happening and is often recommended by insurance companies.
Strike Control can also provide annual maintenance, testing and inspections for Lightning Protection System's.
Strike Control can provide lightning strike protection to the industrial, commercial and the domestic sectors. We are based in Berkshire and provide lightning protection services predominantly throughout the South East and London but are able to serve locations throughout the whole of the UK.

Lightning Risk Assessment and System Design
Strike Control offer a full lightning risk assessment service. Our designers will visit your site and carry out a full risk assessment in accordance with latest regulations BS EN 62305:2012 'Protection against lightning'.Using the latest software we can establish if there is a need for a lightning protection system and precisely determine the level of lightning protection required.

Lightning Protection System Installation
Strike Control offer a full service whereby we will source and supply all materials and equipment required to carry out the installation of the lightning protection system (LPS).
All our Lightning Protection Systems are in compliance with British Standard regulations BS EN 62305:2012.
Early Streamer Emission Device
Where a traditional Faraday Cage System is not a feasible option for lightning protection we can install an Early Streamer Emission (ESE) device. This is an alternative to a conventional lightning protection system (LPS) and is regulated by French National Standard
NF C 17-102.
An Early Streamer Emission device is a lightning attractor that increases the chances of lightning striking it instead of surrounding properties. It's also cheaper than a conventional Lightning protection system (LPS).
Lightning Surge Protection
Surges occur due to lightning strikes that cause quick, high magnitude voltage peaks. It is important that you protect your electrical and electronic systems from the potential damage a surge can cause. At Strike Control, we specialise in the installation of lightning surge protection systems.

TESTING, INSPECTION AND SURGE PROTECTION
Lightning protection systems and earthing systems are tested and inspected by our professionals in accordance with the relevant standard BS EN 62305. Our competent personnel provide testing and inspections using calibrated test equipment. Current regulations recommend that lightning inspection and testing is scheduled at an interval of every eleven months to allow for seasonal variations in soil conditions.
Do you want to protect electronic systems such as computers, data communication networks or CCTV equipment in your property from lightning strikes? Our experts at Strike Control can design and install Surge Protection systems that will protect all electrical and electronic installations.
ANNUAL TESTING AND INSPECTIONS
Strike Control lightning protection testing and inspections will ensure that all your electrical and electronic installations are protected from any lightning impact. You'll receive a detailed inspection report containing our recommendations. We can also provide Lightning protection system (LPS) maintenance if the inspection shows any deterioration in the level of protection. We can also assess the impact of any extension or alteration to the building structure and whether this will impact the current lighting protection system.
Strike Control Tests and Inspections will cover:
Resistance testing of overall system and each earth electrode
Continuity testing of joints
System compliance checks
Component corrosion checks
Checks for visible loose connections, damage or breaks in LPS
Component functionality checks
Checks for possible service incorporation in LPS
LIGHTNING SURGE PROTECTION
Lightning can cause a surge in voltage across electrical circuits. These high voltages are commonly known as transient over-voltages. Transient over-voltages are known to cause high magnitude voltage peaks that last for just micro-seconds. This phenomenon is also known as a surge. Direct and indirect lightning strikes are the most common causes of this occurrence. Surges are known to damage electrical and electronic systems, causing a disruption of operational and critical services. The importance of surge protection is now defined in many standards, including IEC/BS EN 62305 and BS 7671.
At Strike Control, we specialise in the installation of lightning surge protection systems. Our experts can install efficient lightning surge protection by which transient over-voltages can be controlled. We ensure that the surge protection measures form an integral part of the lightning protection system (LPS). The surge protection measures will protect electrical and electronic installations in buildings. We offer a full range of coordinated SPDs to cover all of your surge protection needs. Our SPDs are sourced from trusted manufacturers and are virtually maintenance-free.
